AGM 2026
The Board of Pickleball Wales invites all eligible members to attend the Annual General Meeting on:
Date: Thursday 30th April 2026
Time: 6pm
Location: Online platform. Link will be available on our website prior to the scheduled date.
The AGM will cover key governance matters, including presentation of the annual accounts, updates on strategic priorities, elections to the Board, (including Regional Directors & County representatives) and consideration of member resolutions.
Members wishing to submit resolutions or stand for election must do so by 16th April 2026 in writing to the Secretary HERE
Role descriptions / application forms and criteria will be published week commencing 9th March 2026.

CEO Role / Overview

Welsh Pickleball is a dynamic and rapidly growing organisation dedicated to promoting and enhancing the sport of Pickleball in Wales. Our mission is to foster community engagement, drive participation at all levels and elevate standards of play through innovative programs and events. We are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for players, coaches and enthusiasts alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategic vision and operational plans for Welsh Pickleball
- Lead the organisation to achieve full NGB status with the Welsh Sports Association
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, local councils and community organisations
- Lead fundraising initiatives to support the growth and sustainability of the organisation
- Oversee all aspects of programming, including tournaments, training and community outreach efforts.
- Manage and mentor the executive tea, to achieve organisational goals and enhance team performance
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within the sports or non-profit sector
- Strong understanding of the pickleball community and its development at various levels
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and financial acumen
- Passion for promoting sports and community engagement, with a commitment to inclusivity and excellence
Finance Director Role / Overview

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the financial operations of Welsh Pickleball, ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare and present the organisation’s financial reports to the Board and stakeholders on a regular (monthly) basis
- Ensure compliance with all appropriate financial regulations and maintain accurate financial records
- Coordinate and facilitate fundraising efforts and sponsorships to support organisational activities
- Collaborate with other Board members to develop financial strategies that promote the growth and stability Welsh Pickleball
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in financial management or accounting preferably in a nonprofit or sports organisation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices relevant to nonprofit organisations
Regional Director Role / Overview

Wales Pickleball: Role of Regional Director:
As a Regional Director of Pickleball Wales you will have been selected by your peers to represent them and the sport on your behalf. Your role comes with responsibilities to work and communicate with the region and members you represent as well as the other Regional Directors and the Board of Welsh Pickleball.
Role Summary:
- You are the ambassador of the game from Pickleball Wales to the registered members and the advocate of registered members to Pickleball Wales.
- You will be a passionate advocate of the game and Pickleball Wales in your Region and have a desire to nurture the game to achieve growth in Wales.
- You should be able to attend meetings, hear suggestions and complaints, notice opportunities, educate and answer questions about pickleball. You should also communicate your regional registered members concerns to other members of the Board of Directors.
- You will work closely with your County representatives to support and encourage them in their roles.
- Develop and implement Regional strategies to increase participation and visibility of Pickleball
- You are expected to support and advise your Region and Wales Pickleball, be the ears of the group and disseminate relevant information about programmes plans and directions of Pickleball Wales
