About Us
Y Ddraig Goch Ltd T/a Pickleball Wales are a not-for-profit organisation who began this journey in March 2024 to promote and encourage in every way at local, national and international level the sport of pickleball and to act as the sole governing or delegating body for the sport in Wales.
We are a voluntary National Governing Body with the sole purpose of promoting and developing Pickleball across Wales and in collaboration with other appropriate bodies in England, Scotland and Ireland promote the sport of pickleball throughout the UK.
OUR VISION
Pickleball Wales aspires to be recognised as the National Governing Body (NGB), for the sport of Pickleball in Wales.
OUR role
- To be the strategic lead for the development of pickleball in Wales
- To provide advice, support and knowledge to our members, customers and partners.
- To develop relationships with key decision makers within the sport and key influencers that will have a positive impact both from increased participation and investment.
- To be responsible for the selection, preparation, organisation and performance of pickleball teams to represent Wales in international competition.
- To arrange events and competitions throughout the year for all age levels, including The Welsh Nationals and Welsh Open.
- To produce guidelines on health and safety, child protection, equality and other areas as appropriate.
